Eurofins Electrical & Electronics (E&E) North America—part of the Eurofins global network of premier testing, inspection, and certification laboratories—is pleased to announce that Business Development Executive David Trevayne-Smith has been named the chair of the PTCRB Editorial Working Group.

PTCRB is a certification program established in 1997 by leading wireless operators to define test specifications and processes to ensure device interoperability on global wireless networks.

In this role, David will work closely with the CTIA editorial team to produce the documents required for PTCRB certifications. He will also work very closely with members of the PTCRB Working Group, which includes representatives from several of the major wireless carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile.

“I am deeply honored to chair the PTCRB Editorial Working Group,” David said. “This position will give me the opportunity to work very closely with the major wireless carriers, provide input into the industry, and help revise and develop laboratory certification requirements for mobile, wireless, and IoT manufacturers.”

Nimer Al-Hafi , President of Eurofins E&E North America., was very enthusiastic about David accepting the chair position. “David is an integral part of our wireless team, and we believe his involvement with the PTCRB Editorial Working Group will be very beneficial to the global wireless device industry sector.”
